Four months experience working as an Open House Tour Guide on campus. I am in charge of a large group of people, prospective students and families, and give them a tour of Westfield State's campus informing them about our school. Topics include, resident halls, academic buildings, academics in general, school's stats, school's history, and athletics. 

Boston Symphony Orchestra – Tanglewood Music Center      June 2012-Present

Two years experience working in an outdoor music hall assisting elderly and disabled patrons who are in need of wheelchair assistance. My job entails me to assist patrons who are wheelchair-bound in any way they need. This includes transporting patrons from their car to the chair and after the show, from the chair to their car. I transport patrons around the grounds, including restrooms, eateries, gift shops, their concert seats, and anywhere else on the grounds they would like to see. Since I am personally responsible for their safety, I am aware or and comply with all safety regulations and have received training in safely assisting people who are wheelchair bound. Ability to bend/stoop/twist. Ability to assist passengers in and out of wheelchair. Ability to life 50-75lbs and can also push passengers up to 250lbs in a wheelchair.


Guido’s Fresh Marketplace                                                     June 2013-Present

I have seven months experience working as a Deli Clerk in a fresh marketplace. In the deli, I prepare the bakery, deli, and items that include upholding shelves and maintaining cases filled at all times. I unload deli products, slice, cut, weigh, and price stock in a considerate manner. Maintain smiley and friendly attitude toward customers. Control freshness by rotating merchandise and products. I greet all customers and visitors in a professional manner. Clean and sanitize the entire work area. I answer phones and take orders for particular requested items.

Skills

In both jobs, I have the ability to walk/stand for 6-8 hours. Greet all visitors and customers in a professional and friendly manner. I have the experience and ability to answer phones and take orders for particular requested items. Abides by all business policies as stated in the worker handbook. Team player with excellent communication skills. Reliable, flexible, and hard working. Works well in high-demand, fast-paced environments. Computer skills: Windows XP, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Internet Research, Photoshop, Garage band, iMovie, and blogging. Quick learner, motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn. Professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor. Basic knowledge of PC and computer software.
